Alkalinity of your swimming pool

Alkalinity of your swimming pool
December 08/2015

We recommend that you bring a water sample to your local IPG retailer for a full professional water test.A professional water test will guide you through the exact steps and volumes needed to give you a perfectly balanced pool.Total Alkalinity is a measure of the total alkaline substances found in the pool water and should be maintained between 80 and 120 parts per million.

To increase the total alkalinity:

1. Add the prescribed volume of alkalinity plus to a bucket of water and mix it until the solution is thoroughly dissolved into the water.
2. Walk along the perimeter of the pool, pouring your mixed solution into the water.
3. Allow 2 hours for the water to mix with the solution before testing again.
